ISASLS Character Sketch Files
The Thousands of Parts in Part 1 thru 7

An Expanded Account
or
BING Counting for fun and prophet

Because of their humanoid appearance the main characters and the supporting cast of thousands were originally referred to as noids. Not long after I had initiated the ISASLS project, an animated pizza parlor patriarch in red tights claimed the name "Noid" and appeared on national media billed as something "to avoid." Because of that circumstance, the suffix of noids was consequently changed to beings and then shortened to BINGS which in short order became the acronym that is the essence of the characters and my efforts with this project as a whole. BINGS are the acronym 'Because I'm Not Gonna' Stopit.'

The Supporting Cast of Thousands (Parts) are outlined in greater detail as follows in order of their appearance

  1. Gungabings originally referred to as Troopnoids
  2. At the onset I considered calling these characters Ghengusbings but thought that might imply an aggressive nature. These beings are not aggressors or even first strike offence oriented pacifists. They are more or less the original tribe of Nomadic passer-bys. There are no Chiefs or Generals or even Sergeants, Corporals, or First Class Privates amongst these ranks. They are simply the troops, the file parts of rank and file, my initial canon fodder if you will. Please note there are no cannons or cannonading in this part by these parts, just a canorous synthesized cantata of life marching on.

  3. Doobings originally referred to as Makenoids
  4. RualrootedUrbanIndustrioMetroTechKnowBings may be the more definitive nomenclature for these parts but when I attempted to add that to the spellchecker of this word processor it responded with give me a break, you've got to be kidding, or something to that effect. Quite simply, these are the meat and potato honest hard sweat industrious masses of the massmanufactureing urbane metropolitan revolution of evolution and progressive progression.

  5. Boogiebings originally referred to as Boogienoids
  6. There is one in every crowd and these crowds seem to be everywhere at quitting time, during happy hour, and well into the wee hours. Sometimes they lead and sometimes they follow and sometimes they undulate off into a world of their own driven by a rhythm anybody can hear but they alone seem to feel. Magnificent ecstasy is achieved when a couple feels the rhythm and catches the beat as two souls many times more complete than two alone yet they are two as one alone.

  7. BigBukbings originally referred to as BigBucknoids
  8. These are the Captains of industry but since they are all Captains the same rank and file protocol that was first established with the Gungabings proliferates. They are the Jones's who are keeping up with the Jones's and therefore none are truly upwardly mobile and none are truly downwardly mobile even though most of their scene takes place going up the down staircase and down the up staircase.

  9. Gonoids and Stopnoids originally referred to as Gonoids and Stopnoids
  10. Some things just cannot change. That is not to say that because they remain the same they are any more right or wrong than any other thing. Consider how often one beings inalienable right can become another’s inalienably wrong. Tolerance would be an admirable application but cannot evolve when there appears to be no middle ground between two extremes. To ignore or attempt to avoid a Stopnoid is impossible for a Gonoid and vice versa, each is after all; only a noid and as we all know noids will be noids. Stopnoids are a real kick to the Gonoids. Gonoids seem to be just hanging out only to be problematic little slick tricksters to the Stopnoids. To call these two very dedicated and self righteous camps Gobings and Stopbings just does not ring in the finite yet infinite void as well as Gonoids and Stopnoids dashing along seemingly endless asphalt ribbons with only thin dotted lines dividing their ways. A crossroad, an intersection of non yielding head strong opposed directions resulting in over heated confrontation seems inevitable to occur.

  11. Seabings originally referred to as Seanoids
  12. Sailorbings, Piratebings, even Navybings could be a gas but alas all of those prefixes imply too narrow of a character for the mutinous bounty of this saga.

  13. Justusbings originally referred to as AllYaAllnoids
  14. These Bings are not a cast of thousands they are a carefully selected few (six to be exact) from all of the preceding casts of thousands (Parts). As mere mortals this group of peers may be capable of defining guilt or even not guilt beyond any reasonable shadow of a doubt but, in the same sense will or can they have an acceptable strait on point defense that truly defines innocence. Naivety or ignorance of the law may not be an excuse but can be a defense. Specific interpretation of general applications as they apply to the evidence and circumstance at hand, this is the burden, the cross to bear for these simple Bings.

As mentioned there are quite a few other Parts in this story but they are not the cast of thousands. They are more like a supporting cast or featured Parts of the various Parts or segments of the story. In addition to Part-A, PartToo, and The Cast of Thousands, there is a bit player in the finale Part called PartapartApartooIII (threethirds?) who makes a sudden, brief, but very significant appearance. A great deal of the players in this story are what are usually referred to as inanimate objects. Haulasserous, the fossil fueled spunky little bugger destined for extinction in the Roadstuff segment is only one of many that arrive to support the story. In the maritime adventures of the Seabings Part a very animated high seas vessel referred to as the Incredible MechoTech Tall Sailing Apparatus is featured. There are the Mechsheenls of the Doobings Part that are simply elaborate compilations of gears, pulleys, knobs and levers that take on a personality all their own. Even the various Parts of the cosmos of the opening and closing segments seem to take on a unique character of their own. Consequently practically every Part has Parts that are Parts of the Part that is the Part being presented in the seven distinct Parts of Indian Summers and Seven Love Songs.
